Heartfelt Gratitude

I'd like to thank you for all the lovely and heartwarming comments you have left on my last post.  It is truly heartfelt and I really really appreciate them.  Thank you also to those wonderful people who sent me emails. I feel so blessed, so lucky to have found such beautiful people like you.  The world is indeed a better place because of you, all of you.  So, thank you.

The bad days are over, thank God.  My son goes back to school tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to spending the week having a regular routine again.

Lastly, I'm sure you have heard the bad news about Japan.  My heart also goes to all the people of Japan.  A good friend of mine lives in Chiba.  I'm glad to know she and her family are alright and I keep praying and hoping that they will continue to be safe.  Hugs to you, Menchu, Hiro, Yuuna and Yuuki.

Not a big post today.  I will be returning with a surprise author interview soon.

Stay safe, blog friends.

Len, I'm glad you've found some support from your blogging friends when you needed it.

And I'm thrilled your son is returning to school tomorrow. Let's hope your regular routine lasts a long time.

The poor people of Japan are in my thoughts. That part of the world has been getting slammed of late.

I'm just catching up from all I missed while my internet and computer were acting up. I went back to read the post you were talking about. I admire your strength and your perspective.

When my mom was very ill for so long, I had to be the one to take care of her most of the time. I had to be the 'bad guy' and do the hard things, like make sure she ate and took her meds.

It's not an easy road, but like you said, there's joy to be found on it; if you're willing to see it.

I hope your week is a calm, uneventful one, filled with strength and laughter :)

Hi, Len,

I, too, was unaware of you previous post which I just read. You are a courageous and wonderful mum. Never forget that. You pour your love and strength into your little guy.

He keeps fighting back because of you. You are his anchor in the rough seas of life.

May God bless you and your family and may J grow stronger with each passing day.

Keep yourself healthy, don't run yourself down. Try and make time for you to stay strong for him.

Have a peaceful and calming week.

Michael

Hi Len - so pleased all is well - and I hope you can settle into quietness and security of normality again this week.

Japan is suffering dreadfully .. it's not an easy time in the world for so many ... Libya too - perhaps worse in some way, because it's man made.

With thoughts to us all .. cheers Hilary

Looking forward to the surprise author interview.

What happened in Japan is devastating. My sister was to be stationed their while in the Navy but was in Hawaii instead that week and I'm thankful for it. All of her friends are safe in Japan as well so that's a bonus. But my heart goes out to all of them.

I'm glad you're feeling so upbeat today!

I lived in Japan for about 6 months when I was 19. I loved it there, and I'm thinking constantly about my friends there, hoping they're OK.

Three tragedies in a week is more than any country should have to bear.
